Some stories are formed with great care; time, energy and planning go into each character and the adventure they will embark upon... Some come to you in a snap shot, an idea, a whisper of something more, or a dream.

Not to compete with anyone else, Malicent was my dream story. She is a scenario of what if; What if Alice (in wonderland) were a real person. Who would she be? What would her life be like outside of the hole?

Malicent came to me and her story started to unfold like a rose in bloom, then it stopped. Suspended animation... I have several reasons why it didn’t get past the 70^th page. One would be that I’m not sure how the copy rights on Alice (in wonderland) go – is it legal to write an offshoot story about it like ‘Wicked’ did for some of the other well known fairy tails... I will have to do more research before I continue.

Another reason is because as much as I know the movie (Disney’s version) I am not completely familiar with the book. Either the one in wonderland and the second ‘through the looking glass’ Again I will have to do some research before this project goes any further.

But I have not given up on Malicent yet... It may take me time to put her together but so far I love what I’ve got!
